What we are looking for

Tripoint Solutions is seeking a Release Train Engineer to join our team.

 

The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of SAFe principles and a proven track record in leading Agile teams. In this role, you'll support and coach teams, ensuring effective delivery of high-quality products in a dynamic SAFe Agile environment within MS Azure Cloud. 

 

Location: Fully remote with 10-15% travel to client sites across the United States. The selected candidate must be currently located in, or willing to relocate to, a state supported by Tripoint Solutions corporate offices: AL, CO, DC, DE, FL, GA, IL, IN, LA, MD, MI, MN, MS, NC, NJ, PA, SC, TN, TX, or VA.

 

The successful candidate will be accountable to: 

  • Demonstrate servant leadership, coach teams in SAFe and Agile best practices, stay updated on MS Azure Cloud technologies, understand business requirements promptly, resolve conflicts, and apply Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and DevSecOps processes. 
  • Facilitate Agile transformations within a dynamic SAFe Agile environment on MS Azure Cloud. 
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, build team backlogs, and facilitate Program Increment and sprint events while ensuring psychological safety. 
  • Create and support dashboards for monitoring code quality, mentor developers, and encourage best practices in ALM tool Rally. 
  • Actively support learning through communities of practices and hackathons, and guide team members in adopting normalized SAFe story pointing. 
  • Directly interface with customers on all aspects of the SDLC and program status 
  • Manage day to day operations of project staff 

 

 

What you bring

Experience, Education & Training: 

  • A Bachelor's degree 
  • Current SAFe Release Train Engineer (RTE) certification 
  • 12+ years working in and leading software development teams  
  • 5+ years in Business Analyst role or collaborating with product owners 
  • 5+ years leading Release Trains of 5+ SAFe teams as the RTE 
  • 5+ years experience in people management 
  • 3+ years administering Agile project management tools (Rally, SharePoint Wiki) 
  • Experience supporting Release Train Engineer (RTE) and product team in ART and Program Increment (PI) events 
  • Proven ability to communicate and facilitate impactful discussions for continuous improvement 
  • Experience monitoring metrics (sprint velocity, burndowns) for team optimization 
  • Worked with diverse teams (User Experience, Design, DevSecOps, QA) in Azure Cloud projects 
  • Experience supporting Cloud-based applications 
  • Coaching and mentoring Product Owner and SAFe teams 
  • Protecting teams from interferences and distractions 
  • Removing impediments, resolving conflicts, identifying and escalating dependencies, risks, and impediments 
  • Deep understanding of Scrum, Kanban, Agile methodologies, and SAFe framework
