Senior Staff Accountant

Tripoint Solutions is seeking a Staff Accountant to join our team in Arlington, VA.

You will work closely with our Controller to support the day-to-day accounting functions. The ideal candidate will bring at least 5 years of experience working with Deltek CostPoint/T&E and a passion for excellence in accounting practices to ensure our continued success.

Location: Hybrid Remote

The successful candidate will be accountable to:

• Recording and processing of accounts payable and cash receipts related to customer billing

• Ensuring all invoices and employee reimbursements are on-time and in accordance with policies, expense codes, and cost centers

• Maintaining accurate and compliant records

• General financial reports analysis

• Reconciling balance sheets and resolving discrepancies

• Supporting audits request and executing corrective action plans

• Processing payroll including bi-weekly timesheets, setting up new users in Deltek Time & Expense, and assigning charge codes

• Working with employees and management to make adjustments and ensure Total Time Accounting compliance

• Delivering exceptional service for our employees, customers and subcontractors

• Collaborating with the HR team on fringe benefits, garnishments, tax withholdings, and other areas impacting payroll

• Supporting the Controller and CEO with preparing and reviewing financial statement reports, tax schedules, budgets, and monthly/year-end close-out procedures using CostPoint

• Drafting internal and external communication

Experience, Education & Training:

• Bachelor’s degree preferably in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 5+ years of Experience with Deltek Costpoint and Deltek Time & Expense
• Demonstrated understanding of accounting principles and related legislation, including Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), in support of the government contracting services industry
• Exceptional analytical, time management, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication
• Advanced knowledge of Excel
• Ability to pass credit and background checks
