What we are looking for

Tripoint Solutions is seeking a Business Analyst to join our team. 

 

The Business Analyst is responsible for a wide range of tasks, including requirements gathering, business process mapping and improvement, meeting facilitation, writing, reviewing, and maintaining documentation, and stakeholder engagement. 

 

Location: This position will primarily work remotely but DC, Virginia, or Maryland residency required.

 

 

The successful candidate will be accountable to:

  • Become an expert in application(s) understanding its features and functionality so that you can assist in the definition of new improvements, enhancements, and processes. 
  • Interfacing with clients at multiple management levels to identify their business and software needs through formal and informal engagement; soliciting and helping determine business needs and interpreting them at a high level to document requests and requirements.
  • Facilitate working meetings, ask probing questions to elicit requirements and understand the feedback to comprehend client responses to translate into documentable requirements. 
  • Documenting business and technical solutions in a variety of formats including business cases, operational & functional requirements, user stories, use cases, business process diagrams, mockups, wireframes, test cases/workbooks, and/or any other method necessary to communicate a potential solution to clients.
  • Clarifying functional requirements and functional design during development of solution. 
  • Communicate clients requirements at various levels from high level to detailed. 
  • Provide support for Developers, Testers, and clients in the creation and implementation of requirement stories. 
  • Review and edit documentation written by developers or other business analysts. 
  • Assist in the testing and validation of software implementations. 
  • Develop and update software documentation, such as User Guides, Design Documents, and Release Notes. 
  • Develop process analysis and standard operating procedures. 
  • Provide process and system diagrams using available tools. 
  • Organize, lead, and facilitate meetings to capture action items and meeting minutes. 
  • Manage technical and functional projects while providing concise communication to internal and external clients. 
  • Support the implementation and administration of commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) products such as SharePoint, Tableau, and Jira. 
  • Conducting analysis on customer requests to identify the proper scope of a solution and help leadership and technical resources determine tools and services to accomplish the request 
  • Working in project teams that develop software applications in a cloud environment; task coordination for developers to ensure that requirements are properly being interpreted and implemented according to client needs. 
  • Process management, negotiating, influencing, and problem resolution.

 

 

What you bring

Experience, Education & Training: 

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field. 
  • 2-5+ years of relevant experience. 
  • Excellent communication and writing skills. 
  • Creating system and user documentation for process analysis and improvement. 
  • Ability to manage multiple high-visibility, time-sensitive projects at once and prioritize accordingly.

Clearance Requirements:

Applicants selected may be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for potential access to classified information. Accordingly, US Citizenship or Green Card is required.
