Technical Proposal Writer

Tripoint Solutions is seeking a Technical Proposal Writer to join our team.

We are seeking a skilled Proposal Writer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for crafting compelling and compliant technical proposal content while collaborating closely with various stakeholders. This role is essential in driving our strategic response planning efforts and ensuring that our proposals stand out in a competitive landscape. Must be able to provide examples of your writing, including proposals or similar documents, if selected for an interview.

Location: Remote work.  The selected candidate must be currently located in, or willing to relocate to, a state supported by Tripoint Solutions corporate offices: AL, DC, DE, FL, GA, IL, IN, LA, MD, MI, MN, MS, NC, NJ, OH, PA, SC, TN, TX, or VA.

The successful candidate will be accountable to:

• Participating in the pre-solicitation development and identification of Win Themes, Discriminators, Features/Benefits, value proposition, crafting of the technical solution, and overall strategic response planning efforts.
• Responsible for leading development of compliant, compelling technical proposal content that clearly and concisely executes on the strategic response plan with an emphasis on customer insight.
• Performing duties in close collaboration with the Capture Lead, Proposal Manager, Account Team, Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), Solution Architects (SAs), and other authors.
• Leading meetings with SMEs/SAs to capture solution information for development of compliant proposal sections.
• Translating technical solution ideas into easily understood colloquial terms in the written response.
• Taking ownership of crafting the Technical Approach potentially to include solutions architecture.
• Managing content development to meet color review expectations and executing quality control functions for compliance with RFx and proposal design standards.
• Participating in capture and solution design meetings to understand solution direction, strengths, and key solution components.
• Contributing to graphics ideation – additional consideration to a candidate that can demonstrate their ability to build their own graphics.
• Working actively with the Proposal Manager to plan for and build several repositories of re-usable content and other artifacts which will maximize the efficiency of proposal content development and increase the internal knowledge base.
• Maintaining and adding to the corporate library of past performance narrative descriptions.

Experience, Education & Training: 

• A Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, English, or related field. A combination of education, certifications, and experience will be considered in lieu of a Bachelor's degree.
• Demonstrated ability to bring technology solutions to life in a strong narrative
• Experience managing / writing to Task issued under GWAC’s such as SP4, SEWP, OASIS etc…
• Sales, marketing, or business development experience is a plus.
• 3+ years of professional experience in proposal writing, copy editing or and/or marketing .
• Shipley or equivalent training or certification highly desired.
• Expert knowledge of word processing software.
• Excellent computer and organizational skills, as well as attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines.
• Excellent strategic planning abilities.
• Must be able to provide examples of your writing, including proposals or similar documents, if selected for an interview.

Clearance Requirements:

No clearance required.  Ability to pass a criminal and financial background check.
