What we are looking for

Tripoint Solutions is seeking a ServiceNow professiomal to support our federal customer.

 

This position calls for a skilled ServiceNow professional with dual responsibilities—managing and enhancing our ServiceNow environment as well as driving agile software development initiatives through detailed user story creation. The successful candidate will support federal agency IT operations by delivering robust technical solutions in compliance with federal mandates, including FedRAMP, FISMA, and NIST standards.

 

Location: DMV; MUST be located in DC, Virginia, or Maryland (onsite 5 days a week - NO REMOTE WORK) 

 

 

The successful candidate will be accountable to:

  • Service Now Administration & System Maintenance:
     - Oversee instance configuration, routine upgrades, performance tuning, and system health monitoring.  
     - Manage user roles, permissions, and security settings in strict adherence to federal cybersecurity protocols.  
     - Troubleshoot and resolve complex system issues to ensure operational readiness and compliance with government standards.
  • ServiceNow Development & Customization:
     - Design, develop, and optimize custom workflows, business rules, client scripts, and UI policies to meet the unique needs of a federal environment.  
     - Implement and configure integrations using REST/SOAP APIs with other critical enterprise systems.  
     - Maintain comprehensive documentation of customizations and configurations for audit and compliance purposes.
  • Agile Story Creation & Development:
     - Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including product owners, scrum masters, and IT stakeholders—to gather requirements and translate them into detailed, actionable user stories with clear acceptance criteria.  
     - Participate actively in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, backlog grooming, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives within a secure federal setting.  
     - Ensure that technical solutions and system enhancements are aligned with both operational needs and federal regulatory requirements.

 

 

What you bring

Experience, Education & Training: 

  • Experience:
     - 3-5+ years of hands-on experience with ServiceNow administration and development, with a proven track record in a federal or similarly regulated environment.  
     - Demonstrated experience with Agile methodologies, including crafting detailed user stories, backlog management, and sprint planning.
  • Technical Skills:
     - Expertise in JavaScript and ServiceNow scripting (Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Actions, etc.).  
     - Proficiency in REST/SOAP web services and integration techniques.  
     - Robust understanding of ITIL processes and best practices relevant to IT Service Management.
  • Certifications:
     - ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) is required.  
     - ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) is required.
  • Security & Federal Requirements:
     - U.S. Citizenship is required, with the ability to obtain and maintain the necessary security clearance.  
     - Familiarity with federal IT security frameworks, compliance requirements, and audit procedures.
  • Soft Skills:
     - Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for diverse audiences.  
     - Strong analytical problem-solving abilities and attention to detail in a high-stakes, regulated environment.

Clearance Requirements:

Applicants selected may be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for potential access to classified information. Accordingly, US Citizenship or Green Card is required.
